Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the size, location and degree of the damage. In most cases, damage can be repaired if the chip is smaller than a $2 coin, affects only the outer layer of glass, and does not appear directly in the driver’s line of sight. However, every case is unique, and our skilled glaziers can advise you on your options for repair or replacement. It’s imperative that a damaged windscreen is repaired or replaced as soon as possible.
No, your vehicle will need to be under cover. You can arrange to bring your vehicle to our East Tamaki workshop if the weather is inclement.

No, we require your vehicle to be brought into our East Tamaki workshop in order for us to make a pattern from your existing wing mirror housing.

The answer depends on your vehicle insurance policy. For glass repairs, most insurance companies waive the excess so you will not have to pay anything out of pocket. In fact, many insurance companies do not even count glass repairs as a claim, thus ensuring your “no claims bonus” is unaffected. For glass replacement, you may not have to pay anything out of pocket if your policy includes full glass coverage. However, if your policy includes an excess for glass replacement, then you will be responsible for the excess amount and your insurance provider will be responsible for anything over the excess amount. Before getting any repairs or replacements, contact us. We’ll verify your coverage as per your insurance policy.
Yes, of course. If your policy does not include auto glass coverage, or your vehicle is not insured, you can simply pay us directly for your auto glass repair or replacement. Our services are very competitively priced and we accept cash, EFTPOS, and all major credit cards, to make payment as simple and convenient as possible.
We use the highest quality glass, moulding, urethanes and other installation materials to preserve and reinforce the safety features of your windscreen. Your safety is our top priority.
